Back on LinkedIn

This is an old post and doesn't necessarily reflect my current thinking on a topic, and some links or images may not work. The text is preserved here for posterity.

12 months ago I blogged about how I'd left LinkedIn. At the time, LinkedIn as a service wasn't providing me with any value; it seemed like a resource for recruiters.

My LinkedIn profile

So why did I recreate my profile? Well, Octopus is growing, and I'm also starting to get help from contractors for short pieces of work. When I have good experiences, leaving a recommendation on LinkedIn seems like a good way to pay it forward.
