Talking Shop

Richard Banks started a podcast series with a focus on Australian developers called Talking Shop. Last week he was kind enough to interview me about WPF, Magellan, and a number of other (un)related topics.

Welcome, my name is Paul Stovell. I live in Brisbane and work on Octopus Deploy, an automated deployment tool for .NET applications.

Prior to founding Octopus Deploy, I worked for an investment bank in London building WPF applications, and before that I worked for Readify, an Australian .NET consulting firm. I also worked on a number of open source projects and was an active user group presenter. I was a Microsoft MVP for WPF from 2006 to 2013.

Hey Paul,

Loved browsing through your blog and other links.

Couple of questions: What is the blog software/framework/engine you are running your blog on? Is it public? or if you wrote it yourself, do you have plans to make it public? it seems awesome. Really...

Appreciate it..

Thanks, Vin

Hi Vin,

It's called PaulPad, the subversion repository for it is here:

http://svn.paulstovell.com/svn/PaulPad/

I wrote a little about it in this blog entry: Behind PaulStovell.com.

Keep in mind it was written just for me, so there might be some 'Paul Stovell' reference you'd have to remove in order to use it :)

Interesting, I thought it was actually the "Vanilla" forum system : http://vanillaforums.org/ (they've changed it since I remember it, it used to look almost identical to this, unless I'm thinking of another forum system, which is possible).
